Pick Your Dress Shirts and Neckties Wisely

Update last year’s suits, with a new dress shirt and necktie . . . this season’s look is a vibrant white-striped shirt accompanied by a rich colored solid or small print necktie. Choose a shirt with a semi-spread to wide spread collar with french cuffs. Build your collection of shirts with a variety of shades of blue and solid white shirts.

Striped, glen plaid, window pane, hounds tooth and herring bone suits are a good addition to an established professional wardrobe. If you are beginning to build your professional wardrobe, I recommend you stick with the basic colors, navy blue and charcoal gray suits. White and a variety of shades of blue shirts are an excellent choice that will work with a variety of necktie patterns and colors.
